One out of two students in the Ephrata Area School District receives free or reduced-fee lunches, a key indicator of childhood poverty.

For many of these students, there are challenges for them to receive a quality education. And, as we all know, to have a strong workforce and leaders with character, we must provide ALL students with the same educational opportunities as those in wealthier school districts.

For example, computers and computer science will continue to be in-demand fields, paying good self-sustaining wages and ending many graduates' poverty cycle.

With your donation, we can continue to offer students, K-8 our yearly Coding Contest that challenges ALL students to create age-appropriate computer programs and content.

Many students who participated in the coding contest have gone on to participate in the Ephrata High School's computer help desk, build computers, and earn certificates in the Microsoft office suite. These skills set students up to pursue a college degree or enter the tech field upon graduation.

Your support makes a REAL difference to All students in the Ephrata School District.
